The five month old Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU) strike will be called off any time from now. The decision came after the Union signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MOU, with the Federal Government on Wednesday evening in Abuja. Initial report said the strike will be called off tonight by Fagge has just stated that they will
issue release next week to call off the strike not tonight as earlier stated.
The Union was represented by its Chairman, Nasir Fagge, while the Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike, stood in for the government. ASUU will make a public statement to that effect soon.
